Q Clarksville’s Got Talent Rules 2014

Here are the Q108 Clarksville’s Got Talent rules… beginning on Wednesday, March 5th, listeners can register online at Q108 dot com for a chance to audition for the Clarksville’s Got Talent competition.  One entry per contestant.  If you are part of a group, names of all group members must be supplied and only one member of the group can register.  An official Q108 representative will contact all registered contestants to set up the designated audition location and time.  Each audition location will have no less than three judges who will score contestants based on three criteria:  talent, showmanship, and stage presence.  Judges will score each contestant on a scale of 1 to 10, and the three contestants with the most points at the end of each audition stop will become finalists.  If a contestant does not finish in the top three at their respective audition location, they may register again for a second chance to audition.  Preference will be shown to those who have not yet competed, but contestants may be permitted to audition a second time if time allows and depending on the number of entries.  Contestants can only audition twice. Contestants must dress appropriately; no offensive dress or materials will be tolerated.  The judging panel reserves the right to reject any audition for any reason and the judges’ decisions are final.  Q108 reserves the right to advance up to a total of 5 additional contestants to the finals that may or may not have finished in the top three at their respective audition.  Audition dates and locations are to be determined.  All finalists will compete for the grand prize, one thousand dollars, at the Rivers & Spires festival on April 26th.  All contestants must supply the props and materials they need for and during their audition and performance. A sound system will be available for music-only backing tracks. For safety reasons, no fire or pyrotechnics can be used at any time.  No less than three Judges at the finals will use the same criteria and scoring system to determine the winner.  In the event of a tie, the judges will determine the grand prize winner.  Only one $1,000 prize will be awarded.  If the winning performance is a group, the $1,000 will be awarded to the registered group leader and not to each member.  You must be 12 or older to enter the contest.  Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian’s signature to participate.  Q108 contests are open to all eligible Tennessee and Kentucky residents 18 or over.  Employees of Q108, 5 Star Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Q108 main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.  Complete contest rules are available at Q108 dot com or at the Q108 studios.  Good Luck from Q108.
