Hometown: NY, NY
Favorite Food: It's hard to pick one favorite because it changes with my
mood and the weather. In the winter it's homemade bread and pork and sauerkraut
with mashed potatoes and in the summer it's fresh fruit of any kind. I could
eat watermelon every day! I love ethnic foods. Thai food is one of my
favorites especially Tom Ka Gai soup and Chicken Satay. I also can't pass up Sushi
and rice of any kind. OK I think this list is long enough for you to get the
idea but I would be remiss if I didn't mention ice cream with my favorite
flavors being mint chocolate chip, green tea and cherry vanilla. Maybe it would
have been easier to make a list of foods I don't like!
First Car: 1964 Chevy Nova SS
If you could meet one person dead or alive who would it be: This one is too
hard to pick. Does Jesus count? If not it would probably be Jimmy Carter.
Quote to Live by: When you come to a Y in the road...take it.
Your favorite place to visit: The coast of Washington State. It's one of
the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I wouldn't recommend camping though
because chances are you'll get rained on!
Your favorite TV show: I love comedies!! I have seen just about every
episode of Seinfeld. I also like to watch Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel,
Home and Garden Channel PBS and Tech TV (and you thought I was going to say
Survivor)
Your 3 Favorite CD's: I live for music!!! Much like food I like almost
everything! Not a big fan of country but aside from that the sky's the limit. I
could never pick 3 favorites! When I was about 5 my Aunt gave me a small
transistor radio and it was my prized possession. I would sleep with it under my
pillow. If I told you my 3 favorites as they stand today they would be
different tomorrow. That's the beauty of music. There is something to suit every
occasion and every mood!
What do you do when you're not working: I usually work when I'm not
working. I like to keep more then one thing going at a time and I also have two of
the best kids in the world who I love to spend time with.
Your Favorite Movie: I know almost all the words to Beetlejuice. My kids
and I have watched that about 20 times AND IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER EACH AND
EVERY TIME I SEE IT (that's a line from the movie). I also like Raising Arizona
and A Streetcar Named Desire mainly because I like hearing Marlon Brando
yelling STELLA!!!! I have seen As Good as it Gets a ton of times and am not tired
of it yet and I also have a penchant for Sci-fi. Even the really poorly
budgeted ones like Mr. Stitch and The Box. Was I only supposed to list one?
What was your worst job ever: I like working and every job I have ever had
has redeeming qualities but I guess the one that was the most objectionable
was working at a fish market when I was in high school. We had whole fish and
would clean them to the customers specifications. I worked with some great
people and really like seafood but when I would go home at the end of the day I
would smell like something rotting on the beach and my family wouldn't even
talk to me till after I had a shower and changed my clothes. In addition there
was an incident with fly paper that will forever be burned into my memory. We
had live crabs in bushel barrels with lids on and people would come in and buy
a couple and you would have to go back in to the back room and open the
baskets and put the correct amount into a bag with a pair of tongs. The crabs
however weren't very cooperative. They would all grab on to each other or climb
out of the basket and across the floor or up the tongs. Once when I was trying
to get a couple out of the basket one climbed up the tongs and pinched my
hand hard which made me jump back and my hair made contact with fly paper that
was hanging too low from the ceiling. It's been about 20 years and I'm still
not sure I have gotten all the sticky stuff out.
