ESPN Clarksville presents the Clarksville Fitness Fest sponsored by Sango Pool and Spa. The event features the ClarksVegas 10K/5K, benefiting the Austin Peay State University track and field team.

Come in comfy clothes and tennis shoes to try the YMCA Overcoming Obstacles course outside or the fitness classes inside like zumba, yoga or kickboxing. The event focuses on fitness, health education and wellness for adults and children with exercise classes, equipment demonstrations and other activities. The Action Gymnastics Kid’s Corner will feature kids’ fitness classes, a gymnastics mat and trail mix station.

Kids gymnastics
Self defense demonstrations
Prosthetics and adaptive sporting equipment for the disabled
Samples of healthy food and tips on nutrition
Personal trainers to give tips and advise people on proper form during workouts

ClarksVegas 10K/5K and fun run:
The inaugural ClarksVegas 10K starts and ends at the Fitness Fest at the APSU Memorial Health building. It winds through downtown Clarksville for 6.2 miles and will be great training for upcoming long runs like the Go Commando Half Marathon. If you’re not ready for six miles, try the 5K portion of the race or the one-mile fun run. The run benefits the Austin Peay State University Track and Field Team.
