Flood Warning for Stewart County

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning that affects Stewart County, TN. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is using flood control storage in Lake Barkley
to help mitigate ongoing flooding on the Ohio River. This is expected to cause
water to rise along the Cumberland River through this weekend and into next week At Dover and will affect Stewart County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Avoid flooded areas along the river…And move personal belongings to higher
ground. Never drive through flooded roads as the depth of water may be too great
to pass…Even in trucks or sport utility vehicles. If you come across a flooded
road…Turn around don’t drown.
