Why John Legend is the Sexiest Man Alive

People recently named John Legend the Sexiest Man Alive. It should come as no surprise if you follow the career of Legend or his relationship with wife Chrissy Teigen. We couldn’t agree more with People’s choice and here’s why we love the Legend:

1. He’s Humble.
“I’m excited but a little scared at the same time,” says Legend. The R&B singer has a lot to boast about but instead accepts the recognition with ultimate gratitude.

2. He’s Talented.
At just 40-years-old Legend has achieved more than most artists do in a lifetime. He’s one of only 15 artists to EGOT (earn an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award).

3. He Loves His Wife.
What’s better than a man that completely adores his wife? He and wife Chrissy Teigen have no shame in professing their adoration for each other. The power couple still remain down-to-earth too, while raising their two kids. Teigen didn’t waste any time in announcing her husband’s new title to the social media world, using her classic witt.

4. This Song Right Here.
Can’t get enough of the Legend? Neither can we, which is why we make sure songs like this stay in our playlist.

5. He Respects His Parents.
When interviewed by People, Legend gave credit to his mom and dad for their guidance and encouragement. “My parents always taught me that if you’re going to succeed in life, part of success is having humility,” said Legend “It’s a good way to live life, treating other people the way you want to be treated.” Swoon.

Legend is the 34th Sexiest Man Alive in People’s list, which began in 1985 with Mel Gibson. How did it get started? Learn more here. (watch video)
