Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” secured a 17th week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The rapper has officially unseated Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day” as the longest running number one song.

The collaboration began it’s run at the top of the charts beginning in December 1995 to March 1996 – an impressive 16 weeks.

In 2017, Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” tied with “One Sweet Day” but did not break the record as the song was unseated by Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.”

The song has been made into three different remixes as of today. Lil Nas X started with Billy Ray Cyrus. After that success, the rapper added Young Thug and Mason Ramsey. Lil Nas X recently released his third remix featuring RM of BTS.

Many artists have received a shout out for a remix with Lil Nas X, including Dolly Parton!

Who do you think should be the next artist for a remix?
