CLARKSVILLE, TN − The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library launches another fun summer of reading with its Touch-A-Truck event, which will take place on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Plaza.

This free family-friendly event will allow children and adults to explore a variety of vehicles, including fire trucks, police cars, construction equipment, and more. In addition to exploring the vehicles, attendees can speak with the drivers and learn more about their jobs and how they help Montgomery County function.

In addition to vehicle exploration, the day will be packed with games, crafts, giveaways, and local food trucks serving delicious lunch and treats.

“We love seeing our patrons light up during this special event—and as they explore the library, discover what’s in store for our upcoming Summer Reading adventures, and start dreaming up how books will be part of their summer fun,” said Library Director, Christina Riedel. “It’s a joyful reminder of the magic the library brings to our community. We can’t wait to keep the smiles coming all summer long!”

Guests will also get a sneak peek at the 2025 Summer Reading Program, themed “Color Our World,” and can sign up on the spot to join in the fun all season long.

Touch-A-Truck will be held at Veteran’s Plaza in front of your Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library. For more information, please contact your public library at 931-648-8826 or visit Clarksville.org.
