CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The 2022 Tennessee General and City of Clarksville Election was held today, and polls closed at 7 p.m.

Election results were delayed as voters remained in a long line at Woodlawn Elementary for over an hour past 7 p.m.

Here are the Clarksville, Montgomery County and statewide results in contested races, with early and absentee votes, plus 38 of 38 precincts reporting.

Governor

  • Bill Lee, R, 60.18% (24,811 votes), statewide: 65.04%
  • Jason Brantley Martin, D, 36.35% (14,987 votes), statewide: 32.82%
  • Constance M. Every, I, 1.3% (535 votes)
  • John Gentry, I, 1.02% (421 votes)
  • Deborah Rouse, I, 0.44% (183 votes)
  • Rick Tyler, I, 0.16% (67 votes)
  • Charles Van Morgan, I, 0.15% (62 votes)
  • Alfred O’Neil, I, 0.12% (49 votes)
  • Basil Marceaux, I, 0.11% (44 votes)
  • Michael E. Scantland, I, 0.06% (25 votes)

US House, Dist. 7

  • Mark Green, R, 60.51% (24,484 votes), districtwide: 59.96%
  • Odessa Kelly, D, 37.23% (15,063 votes), districtwide: 38.15%
  • Steven Hooper, I, 2.2% (890 votes), districtwide: 1.89%

  • Against legal sale of alcoholic beverages, 24.95% (3,427 votes)

Note: This was on the ballot only for residents outside the city limits.
