Flood advisory in effect for Montgomery County

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Montgomery County through 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Robertson, Houston, Dickson, and Cheatham counties are also affected.

Heavy rain is likely to cause urban and small stream flooding in the area. Drainage areas and low lying spots may also be hazardous.

A reader said the intersection of Warfield Blvd. and Dunbar Cave Rd. is washed out and littered with large debris.

Drivers who encounter standing water are encouraged to turn around.

More showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday.
