CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – State Rep. Jason Hodges, D-Clarksville, was named to three new legislative committees this week.
Hodges will serve on the House Commerce, Insurance and Local Government Committees, as well as the Business and Utilities Subcommittee, according to a news release.
Each committee debates legislation to determine if it should proceed to the full Tennessee House of Representatives.
Earlier this week, the Insurance Committee debated and passed along the Block Grant wavier resolution that could reshape how the state handles Medicaid dollars it receives from the federal government, the release said.
All the committees will begin meeting the week of Feb. 8, when the lawmakers return for the continuation of the 112th General Assembly legislative session.
