5 Ingredient Cookies!

Any time the cold weather hits with a bit of snow, you just want to get under a blanket and enjoy fresh oven-baked cookies!

Always on the hunt for how to cook healthy versions of just about everything, I came across this recipe to create chocolate chip oatmeal cookies using just FIVE ingredients.

  1. Bananas
  2. Rolled Oats (or any oatmeal)
  3. Peanut Butter
  4. Chocolate Chips
  5. Baking Soda

That’s it! No flour, eggs, or even sugar! So I gave it a shot and yes they’re tasty! They come out fairly large and soft and hearty in texture. They also taste delicious the next morning as breakfast cookies. I did add chopped walnuts to mine so they technically became 6 ingredient cookies.

It helps if your bananas are beginning to brown since they become sweeter and softer to mash. This is where the sweetness comes from.

Mix all the ingredients

Here is where it gets messy. Create the balls of cookies on the parchment paper on your pan ( you can make these without the parchment paper, it’s just easier to clean the pan with the paper).

The best part? A few minutes later you have no guilt cookies fresh from the oven!
