Karma In Clarksville!

This past weekend as my family and I were heading home from lunch, I stopped off at Publix to pick up some groceries for dinner. Instead of having to get a 4 year old and 9 month old out, inside, and then deal with a case of the “I wants”, they stayed in the car while I ran inside.

As I’m checking out, I get a call from my wife to come out to the car immediately because some guy just slammed his door into the side of my car, got testy with my wife when called out, then tried to get away when she went to take a picture of his license plate, only to back into a truck that was passing by.

So I come out to the car. Now while I like to think I’m a pretty nice guy and DESPISE people who fight in public, I’m not afraid to use my size to my advantage when intimidation is needed. Like in this situation. I stand 6’4 and am pretty solid. So I walk up on this guy who struggles with being tall enough to get on roller coasters and ask him “Do I have this right? You tried to get away from an accident so you caused another accident? Or are you calling my wife a liar?”

This guys eyes grew to be the size of a dinner plate and it was all “yes sir” and “no sir” from then on out. And here’s the kicker of it all, the damage he did to my door, isn’t even that bad. I could have been convinced to let the whole thing go had he just been nice to my wife and apologized. But instead he wanted to be a jerk, try and get away, and caused even more damage.

This is what he ran away from:

He went from MAYBE paying under $100 to damaging two vehicles. Hope it was worth it buddy. Oh, and the other guy he ran into? His wife is an accident attorney. Karma comes for us all. Hope you’re enjoying yours.
