Watch Mars Pass the Moon at Austin Peay!

Well, this is beyond cool!

This Wednesday, Dec. 7th, you can be one of 30 people to view Mars passing the moon at the observatory at Austin Peay! The event is called the “Lunar Occultation of Mars”. APSU’s observatory has a telescope with the same optical design as the Hubble telescope.

Department heads from APSU’s Physics, Engineering, and Astronomy will be there to explain what you’re seeing and answer any other questions you have. The space is limited to just 30 people and you will need to RSVP if interested in attending this 90-minute session. The event will begin at 8:30p.
